... One less stresser gone.

hooray for less stress  :)

The condo was priced a little high. It was priced at what we needed to pay it off and all the fees associated with selling. There would have been zero profit. We got 3 offers and all were too low. The ex's parents would have paid any difference. I was not happy with that. The ex has access to resources that I do not. The recent offers were for a short close, and they did not want to pay any of the assessment either. So, they would move in and I would still pay! Not going to happen.

I would have lost it either way. This way I can get up every day not worried that if we get a good offer I have to move in 30 days. I need a few months to get caught up and save money for a move. My resources are just me. At this point, I am even afraid to ask my lawyer questions because the bill keeps going up.

The ex had the nerve to complain about how this would affect her credit. Selling, even with her folks shelling out 20 grand, would be better for her. I am tired of hearing about what is better for her. We are doing what is best for me.

Years ago I was a passenger in a auto accident. I got kind of jacked up, some fractured vertebrae, concussions and so fourth. I had some medical bills, about $15k worth. We made a claim on the drivers insurance and they paid. No lawyers or anything like that. The insured got all bent out of shape about how the claim was going to affect their premiums. (We were friends before that) I had back pain for many years after, and a minor surgery related to the accident a couple of years later. My insurance paid for that one.
Makes me shake my head.

That's what insurance is for.

I had a bike accident several years back...ran into my buddy.

There was no fault assigned by the police even though he was reacting to a car pulling out in front of us.

My buddy and I both had Progressive...

they didn't pay anyone...neither did the car's company.

Well, my condo is off the market. It will now be a waiting game to the foreclosure. I had to talk to the ex about it all this morning. She is not happy. I feel like a weight has been lifted.

I would have to file for bankruptcy anyhow, and with the condo off the market, I can rebuild the savings account and afford to move when the time comes. Selling the place would have me moving now. I am not ready to shell out first, last, pet deposit, etc. I have a $2,700 condo assessment bill to pay and taxes on the 15th.

I can now shower in the morning! I can leave the toaster out! Heck, I will not have to vacuum every day. It can look like I live here.

One less stresser gone.

Filing bankruptcy mid-forclosure is a often good way to delay it.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
