When will the sanding stop?
The way it's looking right now...

never. :P

Working on your hands and knees is prety slow going with a 6" orbital sander.

The Brazilian Cherry sands like a rock. The Merbau, while hard, is much softer.

Did your buddy give you a new suit?

No problems with the coffee, that's as far as I've gotten   ;D

And you?  Is the 80 grit going to do it?

A large area is tough work to cover like that. I see Voltaren in your future (again). I've been fortunate to have only sanded smaller areas. Using knee pads and support belt?

Mate gave me his old suit, but hardly worn like new condition. Saved me a fortune when I needed it. I transferred my best armour into it. The only things that survived the crash were my boots.

Do you mean is the 80 fine enough...

or coarse enough?

I haven't cleaned the areas I've sanded to know if it's fine enough yet. The way it's sanding I'm considering going to 60 on the board sander and stepping up.

Good deal...

Ibuprofen works fine for now. ;)

I was thinking fine enough...  The board sander will be faster then the random orbit?

No...it does a better job of keeping things flat though.

A small sander...6"...can make things pretty 'ripply' if you're trying to smooth a joint where there is thickness discrepancies. Then you start chasing... [bang]

It doesn't matter much in a closet. You can close the door. ;D

I'll just keep going. It will get done.

Then on to the slab. [roll]

Morning, Im glad Im not sanding. I get to do other work type of stuff instead.

The exiting thing this morning is that Tuscany caught a mouse on the walk. She carried it most of the way back to the house before eating it. So for all that she gets a treat.

Guess what time of the day it is ?
