I don't feel like working today.   :P

We have a huge lunch of smoked brisket, baked beans, various salads, and watermelon.   [drool]

Guess who needs a nap now. 

Would have been nice to wash it all down with an IPA. 

Thankfully I got my lazy ass out of bed and ran this am, so as soon as my boots hit the pavement and my kickstand is down,  [drink]

second coat applied.

The first coat really soaked in...all but disappeared except for a few spots.

Hope the second stays up on top and looks like I did something. [laugh]

About 8 hours. They recommend sanding if it dries more than 10. I used an oil based product because my research showed that some tropical hardwoods and water based products don't make for good adhesion because of the resins. There are some tropicals that don't like urethanes period and need to be sealed with shellac or the urethane will never cure.

Seemed to harden up fine. I'll sand it tomorrow and put on the 3rd coat and call it make the beast with two backsing done. The color/grain is really gorgeous,
