Dinner was good! Grilled steaks, chicken, peaches, a salad and grilled corn on the cob!  [drool]

Then peach pie with ice cream for after.

Btw, I left my workshop manuals at work, hence the question here! Lol!

~SNIP~~

I pulled off the 14mm plug/bung and found another one. Is the screen attached to that one?

I'm a little reluctant to pull it out. Lol!

Yes.

It'll likely be quite tight.

Btw, what will the torque (Nm) be on the screen and the covering nut be?

IIRC it's 42, same as the oil drain plug.

That sound about right?

Yes, 42 Nm.

I recon it's at least double that to loosen the screen.
Maybe triple.
I think with the thermal cycles they self-tighten somehow.

After a late night session it was 1.08 when I hit the sack last night! Stoked.

Any plans for tomorrow mate?

brekkie with some friends, then probably a nap... and dinner with some friends.

I'm not very exciting that way

Well, got it off. Had to borrow a neighbour's breaker bar to do it.

The screen itself was very clean, which was encouraging to see. I'd actually not cleaned the screen in the 10,000 or so kilometres I've owned it. Also, considering 1,000 km's ago koko64 and I fitted high comp pistons and rings and that's all the metal there is, I'm pretty pleased.

See pic.

Thanks for the help/tips.
