Bit grotty here today.  No rain... but serious consideration was given.

Did all kinds of exciting stuff, including cleaning out the roof gutters  ;D

Why... do I now find myself looking... looking... looking... at R1200GSs?? (Not the new wasserflasche....)

I think I ..

want one.

My life is destined to be completed without Guzzi ownership (small problem indeed  8)).   I've always "wanted" a Guzzi.... but somehow I always find something else more useful/fun instead.  Its happened all my life.

I'm assuming grotty means not bright and sunny?

Looking like a beauty here today...mostly sunny and climbing to 60 of ours.

I can actually see past some of the clouds to the sky.

but

no blue sky was there to be seen.

There's been Guzzi forecasts for my garage for 30+ years...

But...  when push comes to shove... I always find some other machine which does what I want from that Guzzi...

better/cheaper/more fun

The SD900 being the obvious exception  [bang] [laugh]

Although...

it was THE most exciting and adventurous bike I have ever owned..

...whenever I rode it I never knew just how far away from home I would get...

before it broke.

Back in the day...

I worked at a Norton dealer.

They sold a Dunstall Commando...810.

That bike would go anywhere...

and burst into flames at exactly the halfway back point.

Richard Pryor was right...
