Evening.

Head stem bearings in! Forks back on but that's it for tonight.

Will clean some bits tomorrow and continue with the reassembly. A few mates might pop back over to help and knock back a few!

Carlos, Bick, we ended up making out own pizzas for tea. No pepperoni! Lol!

They were nice though!

hello . . .

Ok, so here's the deal . . . company finds my resume in linkedin[or whatever it's called] . . . somebody calls me over the phone and asks if I'm interested in a "customer service in tech support/training" job, no need to move, can work from home, asks me how much I'm earning right now, I say $XXXX.xx, they say "OK", we would pay a little more . . . BTW, how's your German? they also ask, I say, rusty but, I do understand and can sustain a conversation . . . not to philosophical, but, I can . . . OK, next question, can you travel to the US? do you have a VISA? I say yes and yes . . . Next question, for how long can you be away from home, this is for training purposes? I answer, how long do you need me there for? . . . Lady ends calls saying, "We'll get back to you soon" . . . this was yesterday afternoon . . . Today lady calls and says, "You're between the top 5 candidates; just called to inform you about this, we might either call you later today or anytime before the 15th with a decision"  . . .

Company was never mentioned, area code is from the Detroit Metro Area . . . but, have no idea what company it could be ???

Now, did I mention I'm hungry?

I would not trust any company that does not provide the name. It sounds like the person is a recruiter not necessarily employed by the company looking to hire you. If it ends up being a reputable company, then I would go for it, even though I would ask for considerably more than what you currently make, up to 15% more than your current salary.

Excellent! I usually don't give a recruiter my current salary. I tell them what I expect to be paid for the specific role. That usually gives me an idea of how badly they want me.

Never told my "actual" salary, added 50% to it and stated that I would ONLY leave for at least 25%+

An easy day for me! Good thing too, I need a day of rest. I was so fried yesterday.

Good luck C!

The rest of you stay warm. Brrrrrr.
