Welcome to the corporate world sonny.

Accounting just supplies data-HR did it.

HR stands for "Hiring Replacements"
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Just think of all the paper that would need to be generated if the last pay period ended after the 1st.

The world is run by accountants...and actuaries.

Figures lie...and liars figure.

HR is just the hangman.

Where I worked last it was about a 3 month ordeal to fire a guy, even though he was an outright danger.

If the crane operator doesn't know North from East you have a serious problem.

We're lucky no one was killed.

I watched him almost lose a finger-ironically in the exact way two other guys had lost their fingers.

They had brought me in to put an end to such nonsense. Then they fought me over wearing safety gear  [roll]

It probably wasn't the safety gear, They were most likely fighting you on principle.  :-*

Teaching all week.  Hazwoper.

Glad it is Friday.  I have 23 students that need to wash respirators and then take the test.

Just got word that a close friend & riding buddy got creamed this morning by a stop-sign runner, and was airlifted to the trauma unit in Phoenix. Thankfully, the injuries they've found so far (broken collarbone, ribs, elbow, finger & a possible collapsed lung) are all things from which he can recover. He's talking and lucid. The bike (a nearly new CB500X) and all of his gear (he's an ATGATT guy) are toast, but those things are replaceable. I'll likely head down to the hospital, but am waiting to hear if I'm possibly more useful up here taking care of stuff on this end.

In honor of my friend Jay, be careful out there.

Glad to hear he'll recover. Hope he gets out quickly. Hospitals are dangerous places.

Wishing a speedy recovery for him.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Ended my week with good student reviews.  On a scale from zero to four, I got all fours. My coworkers,  who taught one day each, got two's and one three.

My adopted brother Bill died this week.  He was a good guy. Never said that all of us adopted kids were less than. His sister did.

My dad said that he really likes talking to me on the phone.

Too bad it took the DBH dying for this to happen.
