It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

In other news:

Isn't there an all-in-one TV/DVD/Stereo/Roku/sound system which operates with only ONE cord?

Or completely wireless/bluetooth/IR/RF or whatever other acronym that equates to simple techy musical entertaining media?

That's cool!  Pricey for my budget but still cool.   Will "suffer" with my first world problems for a while longer.   ;)

Sauteed?

Gag.

I guess the only other options would be carmelized to a nearly burned crisp or big chunks used to enhance the flavor of other concoctions.  Big enough for me to easily move to the side/pick out.

In other news:  I got a nasty gram on my door last night while I was out that my dog was barking non-stop... "get a bark collar...shut your blinds...."

Unusual for either of them to bark relentlessly for no reason (plus I had them out earlier for a lot of exercise and fresh air which usually prevents any vocal issues) but thought I better bring over a bottle of wine, some homemade cookies or a gift card to make peace.

Tonight as I sit here, I listen to a beagle howling and barking Non. Stop. Right next door.  In a unit that someone else just bought.  And apparently just moved into with their pooch.

Can scratch those neighborly gift ideas off my to-do list.  (I hope?!)     ;)

At least you don't have an HOA president that has a God Complex, and feels it is OK for his rat dog wanna-be to shit and piss all over the building, and leave it for the janitor to clean up. >:(

As far as I know.

I'm waiting for HOA nightmares.   I can't possibly be living in utopia.  Or can I...

For crime related shows, I could watch NCIS or Law & Order SVU all day long.  Otherwise, C and my inner nerds come out and we love watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

For the record, Magnum, NCIS, (and another great show: Quantum Leap) were all the brainchild of producer Donald Bellasario.  So I can't knock the NCIS lovers here.  We're all family.

I would have so much fun with this...  Probably to the point of getting kicked out of the HOA, but still.

Aside from that issue, I have say I am pretty lucky with the place.

One neighbor (the other non-geriatric couple on the floor) just bought a house, and will be moving out this weekend.  Another one is about to move on from this world.

Will have to see what new neighbors will be moving in.

My neighbors are all OK so far. The chick across the hall travels a lot for work. She shops online a lot too. The 2 (very big, bearish) gay guys to the left of me listen to their TV very loud and cough a lot in the morning, but otherwise are OK. To the right of me are the married lesbians, a Dr. and nurse. They want to walk Lucy. This gives them bonus points in the neighbor book. Across from them are Elliot and Eve. Older, mid-60's, with a small dog. Lucy and Zoe (their dog) like to paly in the hall. New people moved in upstairs. Waiting to see how they are. Below me is an Ethiopian store. He make injura and cooks goats. My apartment has some interesting smells.

They had yet to complain about Lucy!

No HOA for me where I'm at. You can pretty much do whatever you wNt in my neighborhhod. The down side to that is that people do "Whatever they want" everything is a trade off I guess.

Maybe I should be a Dictator and have everyone do what I want.....

Sounds like a vibrant living situation.

New neighbors seem alright-the husband and wife are both motorcyclists.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
