driving a car sucks.  [bang] i can't see in front of me, the sides are all closed off, i can't hear traffic. i actually turned the radio off and rolled down the windows on the way to work this morn.
ohh and they cost A LOT to fill up.


the XR is blowing smoke and going through about 3/4 of a quart of oil every 150mi. the best part is, when I took it in and told the mechanic what was going on he said "I beg to disagree." If he hasn't gotten to it by weds i'm picking it up and taking it elsewhere, or trying to adjust the valves myself, then taking it elsewhere. [laugh]
luckily the g/f is out of town this week so i have her car.

on the upside, this has motivated me to get the duc repaired. i even made a ring compresser out of a pipe fitting. (and it works splendidly!)
now i'm just hoping i measured the rings properly. i can also bring the engine into the house to work on it at night since kathy isn't there ;D
Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!

Traveling not good for injuries.

Be sure to bring some Advil or the like with ya
