I've been to New Jersey.  I have come to the conclusion that "Garden State" is related to the state of gardens in the spring, and what is tilled in before planting.

When I was younger I went to school in NJ . . . More specifically, Lakeview Elemntary and my aunt lived in Denville . . . from what I can remember, it was about a 45-60min train ride to Hoboken . . . And a few times we drove to an Army base . . . I would go sleigh riding on the hills behind the community . .. I enjoyed my time in NJ . . . but not in Newark Liberty Airport . . .

That's all part of the strategy to keep you away.  Most visitors experience Newark Airport and the NJ Turnpike---both more or less modern day iron maidens.

My dad also had a friend that lived in Hope, NJ . . .

So, I can say most of my, old memories from NJ are good . . . recent ones that include Newark . . . not so much... ;D

Hey i prevailed in a class action suit that I knew nothing about. Got a big fat check and I'm sure the TORT Lawyers did even better.
