Did some riding with the GLW on the Hyper through the Grampians National Park over a few days. Beautiful, spectacular place.
When Carlos visits we should take some time off and ride up there for a few days. He can borrow my Monster.

Roos, Wallabies, and deer were a big problem. Deer were introduced by some knob and now are a huge environmental problem. The roos and deer are very tame and just stand on the road or walk up to the back door of the chalet (yeah we were roughing it) ;D. We had a buck roaring at the back door one night. I think some male roo challenged him. They were crowded around the pond at the back of the chalet both roos and deer. Never seen such a sight! In a forest I was looking at a doe face to face from about 5 metres. She was relaxed and hung around us humans and calmly walked past. Clearly no hunting at the park.

I'm no gear nazi...but...

I've done my fair share of falling off moving two wheeled vehicles, and I can attest to the fact the right gear makes all the difference in the world.

I've fallen with and without it. Felt the difference. :P

Used to ride with rigger gloves, open face helmet, boots, jeans and singlet with cut off. A long time ago. AGAT now.

I've heard of wombats wrecking the suspension of smaller cars. A bike would be bad.

It makes me think of certain incidents, like falling off the Dirt Bike and skidding along face first in the gravel, said gravel being an inch and a half from my face just the other side of the face gard & Goggles.

I'm due for a new helmet.  I just don't want to have to use my current one for the intended purpose just so the insurance company will buy me a replacement.

Better . . . still can't stretch leg or bend as left leg . . . PT guy says he feels something weird within the muscles around knee and he thinks that could be the reason I can't stretch or bend more without pain

I hear that's what happens when you get hit by a car, have surgery, and are recovering.

I've heard other people say that pt without pain isn't pt.
