I will be getting a good perforated leather with vents.
Like the Dainese Racing Perf.
2004 S4R, Full Termi Kit, marving midpipe, DP Clutch pressure plate, Rizoma Open Clutch Cover,  Ducabike Slave Cyl and some tasteful carbon blingy goodness

My leather pants are Dainese perforated... the jacket not perforated.  Exxy but worth it.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I have no doubt that you're wrong  ;D

I'd take 44 degrees and low humidity over 30 and sticky any day.

I'll take the 18 thank you. ;D

Why not the 800??

The engine size is identical. The 800 had 4 more torques than the 700. The 800 costs close to 3K more. so on paper the 700 seems better. I need to go and have a look at these things. Caralso says the 700 frames come rusted and the bikes are made in China so that is a consideration. I may revise my "want" at a later time. in fact there is is no doubt that something else will get my attention.  ;D

F650GS (twin) 798cc
F700GS (twin) 798cc
F800GS (twin) 798cc

Crazy Germans.

F700GS = 75HP.  F800GS = 85HP.

Cralso is wrong.  All the twins are German.  The reintroduced single cylinder G650GS Sertao engine is made in China, but the bike is assembled in Germany.  It is 650cc.  Weird.

F700GS = 57 lb-ft . F800GS = 61 lb-ft.   (61-57=4) 4 more lb-ft
F700GS = $9,990.   F800GS = $12,190    Difference $2,200 (prices before accessories)

I will definitely go and at least look, and likely test ride both if possible.

Using that logic you'd buy a KLR650.

As Spock has noted on repeated occasions. Humans are highly illogical.

The GS bikes just look better to me.

Later Ung. And BTW I just noticed that the Forks look better and probably are better on the 800. So F800 GS it is.

Popeye the Sailor

I have a set of KLR luggage I can sell if you go that route.

I spent a few months on an 800gs. I found the bike capable, predictable, and utterly uninspiring.

If I was to fill the garage I'd have a 1200gs, an NC700, and a WR250.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
