I'd describe it slightly differently.

Northern California has no water to be taken.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

True. The last time I went to So Cal the Lake Shasta Reservoir was way down. The California Viaduct was full, and several So Cal Reservoirs were full.

I wont speculate as to why, thats just what I observed.

I wasn't going to go into the why.  Just that they have none.

so... in  a normal, less rainful year....  What do Californians do for water?

Some of it comes from snowmelt, some is captured in reservoirs, some is pumped out of wells, and some is pumped out of the only river of any significance in this desert.

Nate sends us epic truckloads of 100% simon pure snow. He has a year round supply and it's typically in abundance.

In return, we make fine television programming, such as "Baywatch" to get him through the long, cold, empty winter.

We also offered a short course on "how to drive when there is no snow on the ground" but, he declined and said something about his lawn.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
