Well...three people won. $538 mill each.

But why would you want to live there?  [bang]

Marin County or Panama Beach Florida?

ducpainter

The original question related to Marin County, but is equally applicable to either.

Well putting aside the question of affordability, Marin county is a real nice place to live.

East Marin is busy and full of people & congestion, and West Marin is quiet, not full of people, and has excellent year round motorcycle roads.

Plus it rarely gets much below freezing in the winter. You can still use your garden hose most days in January.

I think quiet and not full of people is relative and goes to perspective.

I don't mind carrying water to the ducks for 4 or 5 months a year.

It does take a while to clean up in the spring when things thaw. :P

Here us a typical scene in West Marin. You can hear the cows, the wind, perhaps the distant surf from the ocean, and sooner or later you will probably hear the sound of a Ducati or Guzzi off in the distance.

Here's the big city of Olema. I think this is most of it right here. PT Reyes Station is as least twice this big.

I woke up craving lamb chops..... Weird  [laugh]

Really woke up feeling like shit. My rib cage hurts from coughing, my nose bleeds every time I sneeze and I have a splitting headache. NOT going to work. Came home half a day early yesterday.

Hope you feel better M.

Dave...Maine is nice this time of year... [thumbsup]

Marin is full of Marin people, though. I think I'd rather be shot at.

Looks like we're getting a dog. I'm wandering over to the shelter today to fill out an application.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

You mean the people that dont work and while away the days shopping at Nordstoms or having their new Volvo serviced while they go out for brunch?

Speaking of work. Thats what snow plow ally looks like. So far I'm not warming up to it.

Time to find someplace where I don't need to interact with people...

Maybe find myself a Mary Ann and take a little 3 hour tour...
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Wow.  Hope  you feel better soon Mary.  K

Thanks guys. Feeling a little bit better. Thanks to modern medicine.

Now if I could just get the Lucy dog to stop giving warning barks at every noise. It is making my head hurt even more.  :P  The bloody nose seems to be under control.  Last night I thought it might have to cauterized.

House sitting starting tonight through Tuesday. BIG TV, hot tub, laundry room, and one more dog to walk. Going to have to pack up all my meds, Kleenex, and coffee maker.
