It's very dry right now. We're having fire watches 'Red Flag Days' which hardly ever happens here in the spring.

Burn bans here too.  We had some rain and snow last week but overall it's been dry.

Supposed to get a little rain the beginning of the week, but doesn't look like enough to make a huge difference.

People with dug wells might have issues this year.

Because we don't have to...

and the rain here is so acidic from the coal burning power plants in the mid west the water would likely have to be treated.

The water that comes from the ground is typically potable, if not somewhat hard, as it comes out of the ground.

Some "urban farms" down here in the city do, with often deluxe drip systems, as well as some homeowners for their gardens.  I do collect some in buckets and use it in the garden.  The onlyb reason I don't have a proper rain barrel is I haven't figured out where to put it.

Could that be as simple as using a swimming pool Ph tester and adding lime/potash as needed?

28°C right now . .  should hit 37°C~39°C later today . . . weather is just bonkers . . . it should have being raining already . .. a few earky AM ligth rains a few days back but that was it
