Meeting avoided AGAIN!   He's such a d-bag employer.   [roll]

Whining only because I'm trying to change that.   ;)

There's a really simple way to change your employer. [thumbsup]

Single income, 2 high medical maintenance canines and a mortgage keep me from giving him the Johnny Cash finger

In the meantime, I'll keep applying.  In all areas.   [beer]

I hear you...I really do.

I always approached it a bit different.

Life's too short for me to give that asshole an extra second once I figured out it was inevitable. I always seemed to land OK, always ended up making more too, until I was too old to offer the next asshole enough to make me worth his while.

That's when I went to work for myself.

I'm a special kind of asshole ;D

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I've met you.  Your asshole persona never made an appearance.   ;)

And I get your outlook and experience. And the risk.

I'm not far from taking that leap.  I've had crappy jobs (literally - thanks to my Dad's blind eye to child labor laws and teaching us humbling life skills) so I'm not beneath taking on one of those toilet scrubbing jobs again but just noooot quite there yet.

Curious how the next few months will roll out!

morning...

I think you missed part of what I was saying P.

Good luck with the future endeavors, Stella.

Asshole bosses are part of life...  It's always better to be one than work for one. [evil] ;)

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Thanks Stella for the comment on the 748 flipper.  We're hoping to clear about $1200-$1500 between the 2 of us so I'm happy about it.

As far as working for an asshole goes:  no official comment.

Un-official comment:  I've been turning my departments around now for 2.5 years and have only received a small fraction of the new equipment I need to continue to do this and have only personally received COLA raises (so I'm assuming a complete turn-around of a failing department was just "doing my job"?!?!?).

I'm tired of it, but I'm also high enough up the 'food-chain' at work not to turn back.  So, I'm taking advantage of their generous tuition reimbursement program to get my college degree and then GTF-outta-here...

Patience hasn't been my strong suit so this doesn't come easy for me.

Sending good job 'ju-ju' your way...  Any plans on visiting ABQ anytime soon?  We'd love to see ya....

No trips south on the schedule but it's never out of the question!

Going to park myself in what-his-name's office right now.  Just saw him whirl in.  He can't hide.   [evil]

Go for the jugular, Stella! [evil] [thumbsup]

Stu - I may be making a trip south soon...  Once things are confirmed, I will be talking to you about scheduling for an overdue major on MonStar.
