Fingers crossed! The MIL 2 doors down from the friends I do a lot of housesitting for might be mine  [thumbsup]

Met (again) with the owner, for over an hour this time, just talking. She had a long term renter that moved out so she did the vacation rental thing. It was (is) a lot of work for her. Linda, the owner, is maybe late 60's. I told her she should do to the vacation thing through August and then rent to me starting 1 September. It comes partly furnished. I think we worked that out  [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

She will let me know next week. The rent has the utilities included, plus internet and cable tv. It works out to almost exactly what I pay for everything now. Plus I would get a small yard and dog door  [clap] Less then one mile from the office.  :o

No bathtub  :'(  But I could walk 2 houses down!  Big commercial size gas stove  [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Nice. Especially the one mile from the office thing.

My Apartment is getting near completion. It's been a lot of work so far, but I already have a prospective tennant lined up. Hope it works out.

What leads you to believe the timing chain might have snapped?

this engine when you "start" just turn, fuel and spark are there . . . got a flatline on scanner for Camshaft position sensor but crankshaft position sensor does give me the hall effect type of graph . . . this engine needs both signals to run

I found a shirt this weekend with rats all over the sleeves and one big one on the front with "Go the Rat".

Thought of no one but THE Rat.   You want it for DIMBY, DP?!  No one can tell a story like he could but perhaps use for 1st runner up award for drunk story telling.   i don't know....

So maybe its the cam sensor. If you have an interference engine its not going to turn over very far before pistons run into valves and stuff.
