Watching a fire.  Over 225 acres.  0% contained.  Several structures lost already.

Ready for the call from the Guvna.  Anytime now...
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Transport or do you dump water?

Si.

3 fire service aircraft on it right now.  100 firefighters on the ground.

Lots of homes in the area.

Complaining on the MB dealership survey about the excessive charges of $900 to change an alternator, and the wiper blades. When I broke down near Chico last month.

That was a little adventure that involved catching Amtrack back home at 3:00 AM  :P

It's a 45 min job.

I figure 2 hours to do everything. Paperwork, put the muliti meeter on it or whateve fancy diagnostic tool they have, parts order, coffee break, phone call to the wife, etc.

OK, $450/hr . . .  ;D

That's about the size of it. They charged 6 hours labor and dealer price on the part.
I can see them soaking me on the part, but the labor was ridiculous.
10 min to test it, and 45 min to change it. It took me 45 min to change the alternator on the E320. I figure they have that one down. Probably only 20 min for them.

You take the belt off, remove two easy to get to bolts, and the wire connector. Its easy.

Look at that, right on the front of the engine. It doesn't get much easier than that.
They even designed that hose to go around the underside of the alternator so it would be out of the way.  >:(

Not sure what you expect from the expensive German luxury vehicle?

They're not known for being cheap to own.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
