Not to mention, usually built to the lowest common denominator.  The new unit will last just long enough to sell or junk the old one you kept as a "just in case the new one dies", and then it will sh*t the bed causing one to curse like a sailor and rue the day the new one was purchased.

Oh yeah... 'Ning everyone... [thumbsup]
When, or rather if, I buy it won't be from a box store, or bought for a price.

I'll buy from a power equipment dealer known for service after the sale. It will be the last one I buy. ;)

Ning   [coffee] Lucy has the runs. Glad she let me know in time to get out of the apartment. Making some rice for her to have with her kibble.

Her run in with the law must have upset her!  Went to pick her from the sitter and we went to Discovery park for a walk. 3 adults, 4 dogs - $54 ticket for each adult. Discovery park is 534 acres and not one for off leash dogs. The city is cracking down  >:(

went to the grocery store all by myself . ..  NO adult supervision whatsoever . . .

That's what dad always said.

The box store stuff is mostly made by MTD in the same factory and branded to whoever wants it. There is no real service network. I mean try to get Lowe's to fix your lawn tractor.

I don't really want to spend the money, but working a half hour to mow for an hour is getting old(er) than me. ;)

I hear ya

My Greenfields mower (lawn tractor to you) made me wince when I paid for it.... new... 20 years ago.

What a bloody bargain it has turned out to be.  Getting long in the tooth now though... and i seem to spend about as much time cobbling it back togehter as I do actually mowing.  No complaints though.

Does my next one need to last as well.... ?   lol

You'll be mowing for another 20. [thumbsup]

I bet that Honda mower I bought will last for 20.

Popeye the Sailor

I've yet to regret buying the best thing I could afford.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Who ever came up with the name Fed-Ex Smart Post?

It isn't.

Bick's Idea.

Not my fault they are not implementing the full plan I wrote for them.

All I care about is that the license fees keep rolling in.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Surely someone out there wants some heat.

We've really got quite a lot of it here, truth be told, an obscene overabundance.

43 of theirs.

Don't you Aussies want some of it?

Perhaps Bick can fly some of it down to you?
