PI is on my doorstep.  I'll be nowhere near there on race day.
Scoober and I are here now. We may have driven past your place then if you are out this way.

hey ya'all...watch this. ;D

Back to the missed opportunity...

I mowed a field yesterday...not really a field, but a rocky, ledgy clearing at the end of the road I worked on last year. The property owner had some logging done. That really changed the look of the place.

Anyway, this rocky clearing had a bunch of brush, and saplings that needed to be knocked down to avoid it becoming forest again. There were a couple of rocks...good sized ones...that I saw, and planned to go over them and lift the mower. Problem was I misjudged the size, and my momentum managed to perch the tractor, headed uphill, on top of the rocks with all the wheels off the ground. I couldn't go forward, or backwards.

So here I am, a half mile out in the woods, a mile and a half from my truck. What's a guy to do? A smart guy would have started videoing what came next. Luckily, the mower was in the air, I disengaged the PTO, put the tractor in reverse, climbed up on to the mower deck, and started bouncing. When I got the rhythm right, the rear wheels would hit the ground. Took all of 30 seconds, and off those rocks it came. I just jumped off the mower and clamored back up on the tractor, and finished the job.

Normally I would say no video or it didn't happen.
But it is you.  :-*

I don't blame you...it's somewhat unbelievable.

I don't care though. I had fun with it. ;D

About all that could go wrong was I'd have to get my truck to pull it off the rocks. ;D

That does sound like a minor adventure.  [thumbsup]
I'm planning on going to the store later to get some shower cleaner.

Not nearly as much fun as with a tractor. But you never know what could happen.

MendoDave

Afternoon. I should start a thread about my cancelled trip to the store.
