How far is that from your house Dave?
"Once you accept that a child on the autistic spectrum experiences the world in
a completely different way than you, you will be open to understand how that
 perspective
is even more amazing than yours."
To realize the value of nine  months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.
"Don't piss off old people The older we get, the less 'Life in Prison' is a deterrent."

It's 6,100 ft at the water surface. Obviously the rim is higher than that. Those skys were incredibly blue today. Other than some cropping, I did nothing to enhance those photos.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

It's only 76 miles from my house to the top of Mt. Washington but I'm pretty sure it's nicer, weather wise, here.

How much snow do you have in your yard?

Just a couple of inches. The rain a couple of days ago took care of most of it. Its going to be cold the next few nights.

Elevation is king. Really changes things.

It's sad that the Cog Railway is going to build a hotel on Mt. Washington.

It might turn out nice. They did a good job with the Overlook Hotel esqe. Buildings up on the rim. They fit right in.

Our definitions of 'nice' might be different.

It's already 'nice' there. I see no need to add a bunch of concrete, milled lumber, electrical wire, roofing, and drywall to have it turn out 'nice'.

That's just me.

We were NOT in the pileup in Baltimore this morning.   Amazing video of the tanker truck bursting into flames though.   Couple deaths.  Very sad.  Everything was coated with ice by 2am.   We couldn't even walk to the front yard to get the paper.    Cars were encased and needed hair dryers to get in.

We chose the Irish coffee and fire in fireplace option.
It's still buy a flounder a drink month

Im just saying time will tell. The presence of the Hotel will undoubtedly bring more people to the mountain. I can see many people not liking that. But the Structure and grounds might not necessarily become an eye sore. Or they could do something all screwed up. I've seen projects go both ways.

Yup, when you decide to not drive on ice you live longer.   Or... staying home and drinking saves lives.
