Deep cleaned the coffee pot last night and put in a charcoal pod per Mary's and Paula's recommendations.

Optimistic my coffee will be life changing today.

If you have a good burr grinder, clean it too. I the hopper every time I change beans. Total cleaning about 4 times a year.
