I looked at the cost of an ariens right now and I'm thinking my tractor deal was pretty good.

Too sick to use today. Will try tomorrow.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I'm pretty lucky. My neighbor has been plowing the driveway for about 16 years. He never asks for any money. I offer, but he says nah. I get him a gift card to the liquor store every year.

We talked about it. he told me the pickup I put rockers and fenders on for his kid, and never asked for any money, was payment enough. He's building a new house across the road, where the trailer was. I gave him some poly pipe to use as a chase for his well line, so he could do his foundation without actually hooling up to the well. It all works out.

As much as snow blowers suck, it's 11ty billion times better than shoveling. I'll probably need to look at replacing that $20 snow blower soon.

I bought an MTD about 17 years ago (holy crap didn't realize it was THAT long ago). Just put gas in it and change the oil once a year and it has worked flawlessly.

I don't doubt that this Craftsman blower is actually an MTD. They pretty much make everything, and have for a long time.

Different colors, and spec'd by the name on the decal.

Built a snow fort, went sledding a lot.

He tackled me in the snow yesterday-face down.

I don't love it, but it's nice the kids do.

I was outside for quite a while today between blowing the yard, the stuff that slides off the roof, and working on the damned thing. T and Z came out while I was wrestling with the tracks. Zeke managed to lose a mitten. It'll show up in the spring.

We almost hit a huge mountain lion on lakeshore drive. This thing from head to tail was almost the width of the lane we were in.

I've never seen one up here in this area before, and so close to town. I guess that neighborhood is where the deer are.

We got three inches of snow last night.  As per usual in the high-desert...  gone by noon.  Love it here.

Work has thrown me a curveball.  I have the option to apply for my managers job.  Only question is whether I actually want it or just think I do.
