Paula is off volunteering at a triathlon.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Haven't seen any effect here in Dallas area.

I went to Houston to try and help last weekend, but didn't seem to find the right places with my cousin (a physician's assistant who grew up northwest of Houston).  We did volunteer at the main shelter one day, but seemed like we wasted our time.

Still getting settled in, but it's been nice sleeping in the same bed for a month or so!

To be honest, after 17 years, it is quite unusual.  I've honestly spent the last month or so just hanging out in my apartment (except for the trip to Houston).
