That's easy enough to say when you're going from the house to the car.

What do you wear if you're going to be outside for 4 or 5 hours?
gloves, a hat and if I legit will be out there for hours I'll add thermals.
That's if I'm outside. If in the unheated garage, I'll start like that and then get hot and strip off some stuff

I wear woolies, yes...wool long johns...a lot in the winter.

I go out every Thursday evening, and Sunday morning, to shoot.

It's cold, but too much fun to not do it.

That right there is, IMO, a proper New England attitude.

I remember many people not showing up for things in California due to drizzle, and sometimes, clouds.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

That is one reason I could not be a New Englander...  There is just something about these young co-eds in there parkas, shorts and Uggs on those rare blizzard days.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

 [coffee] [coffee] Morning.

Yesterday one of my adopted sisters posted a note in the middle of a Facebook photo comment post that our dad is dying. She could have sent me a text or pm. I did talk to him on the phone on Saturday. It was a short call, 3 minutes, but it was a good one. I have known for a few weeks that his end time is near. So has he. He was alert, in pain, but able to answer the phone.

Then on Sunday he is unconscious and on a pretty heave morphine drip. I did make him promise a few weeks ago that he would tell someone to call me when he passed. Will they? I have not seen any of those sibling since I left when I was a Jr in High School.

Over the years my Dad and I have created a relationship. I was placed in his house as a foster child in 1976, adopted in 1977 and gone by 1981.

Now I wait.  :'(

ducpainter

My condolences Mary.

The waiting is not the hardest part...at least it wasn't for me.
