Prepping for the kid birthday party next weekend.

The yard never looked so good.

He probably won't do that again.

But why did you have to cut your ride short?  No one to drag him back home?

he rode to the starting point, and I was NOT going to push him, he's always showing off or something, I had told one of the girls in the group NOT to invite him, even it was a city ride, the idea was to do at least 120kms and not 88, we were standing under a tree for about an hour waiting for his "transport" to come pick him up, you  DO NOT re-start such a ride, with that much "rest" in between, unless is a planned stop or the purpose of the ride is to: go this place, eat/drink and then ride back . . .  One other time, he came showing off the had gotten tubular tyres, guess what, he got a flat, and NONE us could help . . . Again, a looong wait for his rescue to show up; I usually have 2 tubes and 3 CO cartridges, some basic tools and electrolyte tablets on me . . . He is a joke to even aficionados or amateur cyclists

You're way too nice.   If it were me or any of my amateur or hard core cyclist friends, we'd make sure they had a pulse and someone was coming for them and resume our ride.   It's not rude, it's just that we all know we're out to ride/train and unless there's a lot of blood or no pulse, one person's mishap won't keep the others from their day.  And yes, way too tough to restart after a long rest.
