I was a sailor and....my language reflects that at times.

I didn't want to do this particular job, mostly because if I find an issue I probably won't have time to fix it properly. Nor do I want to run out to buy things and leave her with no front door.

I did a lot of research and recommended a door, which was promptly ignored to save ten bucks or some such.

I can't wait.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Hello, good morning . . .

Electricity was reestablished at about 0345h this AM, after about 13hrs of not having, got a few emails from company asking why "I left work without letting them know", trying to answer politely that I am not an Oracle so I cannot predict the future . . . Missed 2nd job's shift since no electricity means no water  . . .

A foot of snow in the past 24 hours.  Third snowfall this month.  Stopping later this evening but then ridiculously frigid. 

That's sort of fine. 
And expected.

In January.   


I put my long down jacket away during 4th of July weekend.  blech.

I won't ask if all is ok since that's not likely the case.  But whatever the old age issue may be (was just lamenting a few hours ago about this very thing) â€" I hope it's nothing too serious.


In related news:  

I was stymied by not knowing who to ask to pick me up from a neck procedure next week requiring I not drive afterwards so I faked a name on the mandated e-forms.  

Neighbor just called asking me to pick her up tomorrow from, go figure, a similar procedure.   As it turns out, she can deal with my old single spinster needs next week in return.    [thumbsup]

This getting old shit is indeed getting old.   And I'm not that old (in my head).
