Popeye the Sailor

She's been getting lost in familiar areas and running her car into stuff.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Afternoon.

Took the kids for a wee vaca now that school is over for them.

My mom crashed her car into a parked car (she's okay). I'm thinking she's near the end of her driving career.

Now I'm back and it's too hot and where is the rain?

I feel for you Dave.   Same for my 86 y/o pop.  Has gotten lost locally but so far, no crashes.  I think.

Morning.

Sounds good Stella.

Time to embrace the suck.

Morning.

My Dad passed in '05, but he did start driving real bad towards the end.  Even sideswiped someone he thought was passing on one side, but guessed the wrong side and changed lanes.  He asked me to take his license if I thought he drove badly.  I never got the chance as he passed not long after.  He had been driving since he was ~15, so 60+ years.

I take it back.  Kicking and screaming today.

Ugh... that could have turned out so badly.        :(

True.  It was a minor side swipe, but still.  He knew (I think) his driving days were numbered...  He passed about 6 months after that.

Hello

The day I have to stop driving or riding or walking or being able to do stuff by myself, I prefer to be gone ASAP, have my last will and it says DNR, don't want to be hooked to a machine knowing people are suffering around me, let it just end, and then they'll remember me for the good the bad and the ugly, many, most for the ugly

Bye

On a conf. call with a vendor and my boss earlier today.  Boss told vendor it would be ok for him to kick me in the shins next time he sees me. And added a jab with "polly is ALLLLWAAAYYYSSS' right...."

What an ass (still).

But short, safe road trip early next week for work so no office again.  yay.  (silver linings)

The proper comeback would have been you telling the vendor it would be OK for him to kick the boss in the nuts because he doesn't have a clue. 8)
