Indeed.   The thought of buying a camper / van of some kind and giving the pseudo corporate job the middle finger and traveling all over does go 'round in my head frequently. 

But some kind of sense tells me not to buy the depreciating asset right now.

The allure of the gypsy van life allows for taking remote jobs and projects.  There's one in particular that has long-term potential.   But "at my age", it's highly unlikely that that life will happen.  But I like to dream about it.   ;)
