This time four years ago, I went to bed early, hoping that a couple of million Americans voted their hearts.  I awoke to find that the hearts of my fellow Americans were filled with fear, hate, and an insecurity that knew no bounds.

Tonight, I will again go to bed early, hoping that my fellow Americans voted with their hearts. This time, I hope that their hearts are filled with love for their fellow man, the plight of those not the same as them, and the hope and future of our nation.

The one shining light in all of this is that we Americans have voted in record numbers. No matter how you voted, thank you for exercising your rights. 

I will go to bed at 2000 hours and hope to wake to what I would consider good news. News that my fellow Americans are the people I think they are, are capable of becoming, and if given a chance, they believe themselves to be.

So goodnight to you all. The morning brings a new day, and I hope for a new future.

Good morning

[coffee] and some toast with hazelnut spread before getting on bicycle for an hour  . . .

Mind is too tired, not clear anymore, doing stuff by repetition/routine, I really don't feel like actually doing shit, taking advantage of Saturdays and Sundays that I can go out and ride my bicycle to see other people, talk to other people, listen to other people's voice

Working from home, staying home, working on the house, I feel like I am in an infinity loop . . .

That is all for now, see ya later . . .


BTW, I woke up thinking it was Friday, yes, week has been that long

Well I guess I stayed busy today and enough has changed that I may not have to go directly to the ban thread.


A nice day that started with the 'vid test and a flu shot, then outside raking leaves at my dad's with him (masked up of course).   

Conversations with one prospective employer in VA and messaging back and forth with another in CO.


I have only a little bit of wine left from last night.  I'll savor every drop.
