Also, I'm not allowed to refer to the cat as "Emergency food #1."

When the little one objected I said "Okay emergency food #2."  


There were additional objections.  [laugh]

I am, unfortunately, not surprised it has finally come to this.

But I am still shocked.

And I am horrified to the soles of my feet.

I have friends overseas who cannot believe what is happening.

I am ashamed and embarrassed and enraged in every fiber of my body that today's events happened in America.

This is a stain on our country that will never wash off.
