.... all the world is yours.

We hired my replacement 2 weeks ago and we fired him this morning. He was using software he has access to for training data entry only to look at the photos and information on a few of the office women. My direct report is transitioning, and he asked them "what's your real name, do you think my wife it hot?" and other inappropriate things.

So now I have to decide if I delay my last day at work to help hire again.

My 3 good (best) friends were texting me all day, giving me grief for wanting to leave a good job where I make stupid good money. Even with that, I can't buy a house here. I don't want a condo and those are crazy prices too. and I am not living far away and driving hours to work and home again.

My boss is on vacation in South Africa and will be back to the office on the 8th.

First world problems, but ARG.

I'm not going to give you grief, but if the only reason you're leaving is because of money...

tell them you'll stay under your terms...like enough money to get what you want.

Otherwise...don't delay. It's not your problem if they can't replace you.

It's not about the money. I will take a pay cut where ever I end up.

My friends think I should stay and keep taking the money.

I guess when you said... "My 3 good (best) friends were texting me all day, giving me grief for wanting to leave a good job where I make stupid good money. Even with that, I can't buy a house here. In my tiny mind, that makes it about the money. ;D

Good morning.

Go to redfin and search for a house in the 98146.  Even if they paid me more and I could buy one, I could not afford it when I retire in 7 years.

.... during 7 years it'd likely give you a nice capital gain..... which (if your circumstances are still that you could't afford to keep it) you could cash it in and downsize elsewhere...

Just sayin...
