Heading to the mitten in the morning.  Mom is moving to her new place early next week.  Not sure if I trust that the people she's got lined up to help will actually get the job done.  My sister is on her way, but stopping to see her new grandbaby for a couple days.  My brother hasn't figured out that he needs to help.  [roll]

I got a verbal offer this morning and the letter just came via email. Salary is what I asked for. Weirdly, they pay every Thursday.

Payday was always a fortnightly affair in Australia.... most people in the UK seem to that's weird too.  What's usual for the US?

I was always paid weakly. ;D

Normally every other week (26 paychecks) has been my experience.  However, when I started at Toyota in 1998, we were paid 2X month (24 paychecks) and only worked 37.5 hours then.  A change in labor laws switched that to 40 hours/week - which meant myself and many others received a 6.66% bump in pay for the additional 2.5 hours.  At some point it also switched to bi-weekly pay.
