Lots of hurry up and wait at work lately.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Morning. I was at work and working just after 8 when the boss walked in. He had never been to this facility. He doesn't even normally come in.

He wanted to talk to my coworker, so he sat at the coworker's desk. Said person walked in 75 minutes later...fast food bag in hand.

He got a reaming over the work he hasn't been producing.

I just wandered off.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Yup.

The boss doesn't like when you claim something will be done Friday and it's maybe 1/4 done the following Weds. Even worse when you tell absolutely no one you're behind schedule.

Morning. If I make it through today, I will have survived my first week at work!  My onboarding schedule is so packed, that I have not had a minute to myself.  So far, I like them. There is going to be a lot of busy work updating excel spreadsheets and whatnot, but whatever!
