Yes. I was discharged yesterday early afternoon.

There will be a recovery/adaptation period. I have a follow up with the doctor in March.

I've underestimated my son for most of his life. We started a new communication program last April. It's amazing to me how much he knows.

Some of these things we have always known  ;D   

And it's beginning to look like - with the right "in" - others are beginning to reveal themselves too.  He's right of course, school totally sucks.

Too bad the school won't accept it as an 'evidence based' method of communication. Another windmill I must battle.

Rainman could talk. The problem is Zeke's difficulty communicating.

This system works for him, but the powers that be, ASHA, are fighting it because it means less money for them.

There's a new law in NYS that allows this letterboard system, or any system that allows a person their right to communication.
