No? I'd imagine you painters would make some sort of decent money. I've yet to be quoted anything cheap for one of the classic cars, although that doesn't mean the money filters down....

Go buy the components requires for good quality paint. Any of them will run near $400 per gallon.

A spraybooth costs what......75k, heat to run it (around 1k per month in a warm climate), filters to catch the overspray (2500 per year in filter costs), permits, insurance, benefits for employees, rent/mortgage, couple this with the fact the the FUUUKING INSURANCE companies ruin a decent business and the govenment alloows the to do it by keeping labar rates so low it's pathetic. Let's see I've got 20 years in this business, have continued to update and keep current my education and certification and we can only get paid $45 per hour (the shop rate, not what the employee gets) for labor and $20 per hour for paint. Shit I can go through $20 per minute in paint.

Luckily airbrushing is a hobby that I like and as a side job it has helped to pay for some nice toys
