I ate a good dinner and then just watched the newer Hulk movie.
Now I'm here to bullshit a bit before going to bed.

I can think of worse ways to spend an evening.

"sup Kev?

Been working on the bike big time.  Probably got a good 15 hours in on it last week.  Got the flywheel cut down to 2 pounds from 4.5.

They didn't have the right stuff for me to machine holes in gear webs, so that didn't happen.

Yet.

Im going to get the right tools and Im doing it.

Valves are done, valve covers are painted and installed, side covers, clutch cover and swing arm are all painted as well.

It's coming along.

I should be spending a decent amount of time on the Yamaha after the holidays.

Next year you can split the cases and do the tranny gears.   ;D

EveNing, All.

Made it to New Orleans.  Straight through, 18 1/2 hours.

3 hour nap this afternoon, but I'm sure I'll still be sleeping good tonight.

Tomorrow  I'm going to visit the R1 that was supposed to come up to Colorado last spring.  Any suggestions on roads?  Swampduc?  Anyone else down here?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Actually, I was saying the poke' bike misses lethe.

You'll probably get to ride it again, if we manage a DIMBY track day.

It'll be the same, but with more horse power and crazy throttle response.

I like cars and bikes that are on the edge.  Im happiest when Im wondering if it's trying to kill me.

Fishtail days are up.

Nothing Monday   or Friday.

Time to start thinking about dates.

Great-I feel better in time to go to work.

At least it's a short week.

Hey Bick. I normally don't check this thread often but just happened to today. From living in N.O., I remember that the roads I enjoyed riding were on the North Shore of Lake Ponchartrain. Take I 10 to Causeway North and take the causeway across. If there are high winds, I'd reccomend I-310 instead. Check a map; what you want to do is get near Ponchatoula. IIRC state hwy 20 was decent in places, but by and large, our roads are boring. I'm off Wed afternoon through the weekend if you're going to be around and want to ride. I'll pm you my cell #; let me know if you need anything: restaurant or bar reccs, etc.
Respeta mi autoridad!
