so the 05 engine i bought to replace my 02 engine with looked a little funny as i was putting the jugs back on it.

the guy that sold it to me took out the flywheel and didn't tell me  >:(

now i have to either buy a new nichols flywheel or use my old one. i'm starting to think that i should have just left the case on the bike and taken the new one apart to put in the clutch and tranny. it might have gone smoother and resulted in fewer stripped bolts. then i might be riding by now [bang]
That would have been harder I think.

We actually didn't get the crazy hail in our area, but it seems everywhere else within a 20 mile radius did, which was weird.

The thunder and lightning was kickass though. We never get that stuff here.

we get CRaZie thunderstorms here in summer... supposed to get some later today  :-\

yeah, pulling the trans out would prob suck and require more parts to be ordered.

but i'm cannibalizing enough from the old engine that it seems like it's going to be half of the old and half of the new.
i'll name it frankenmonster.

i had 2 bites on the ad i posted to sell the parts. one guy wanted the free thing, and another guy wants me to break up the engine. i think that might be my best bet right now though.

I used to get them all the time in S. Idaho. It was great. I even checked the forecast for Boise for the next ten days and they have T storms almost every day.

I miss them.

Pulling tranny parts from one case and installing in another would have required re-shimming.

That would have required a tech=$$$= not happening.   ;D

I notice from the activity here the long weekend hasn't really ended.   ;D
