unlike motorcycles passing slow cars or other bikes, when we blow by other sailboats it's nothing but smiles and waves and people taking pictures....although I suppose with no roads the ability to give a little room when passing might help that.

Pisces smooths out and gets happy over 8 knots....below that she rattles around a little.

I put my beer down at about 14 knots and pay attention.

15 plus gets pretty wet.

we've done runs of half an hour over 15 knots.

we've touched 19.9 knots before deciding to throttle back....still sailing with family.   The racers hit 22-23 but that's with four guys who all can sail.

most days we putz around the bay at 7 to 10....Summer on the Chesapeake is light winds.

In the short youtube clip (search grumpylawyer Pisces) we're doing 12.
