so how's this?

another mechanic wanders into my area, and is all: "oh, you're working today?"
me: "ummm... yeah."
him: "boss is buying everyone lunch today, go see him to tell him what you want."

...walk to boss' box on the other end of shop...

boss: "you want something?"
me: "yeah, lem said to come see you about lunch?"
boss: "you need lunch?"
me: "I didn't bring any"
boss: "well, you're too late.  I already phoned it in. I got you soup."

it's july. it's hot. humidity has been worse than normal and we're all already sweaty and gross.

WHY THE make the beast with two backs WOULD I WANT A BOWL OF SOUP??????

so anyway... out in 10, but more bossly shenanigans!

no night shift came in to follow me, which is why he *made* me work both days this weekend  [roll] it's the only way this job would get out to the project before next week

but at least the money is good, and will go to something worthwhile, so I guess it's not so bad
