Anybody smell patchouli?

Just because I live in close proximity to The People's Republic of Boulder...  [roll]

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

And yes, I'm just jealous -- my tele gear's all dusty, and I faced the reality that I'm just not skiing as much these days as I claim I used to, and converted my Karhu Jak BC's over to AT bindings last year. Neither my heel nor my mind are all that free.

With only a 20" base, and 3" in the last 24, I am not rushing over to catch the shuttle, but I will make a few turns on your behalf today.

I assume you've seen this? "Randonee: It's French for 'Can't Telemark'"

A/T Anonymous: A Tale of a Tele-turned-A/T Skier

(for some reason, there's only half the clip up on YouTube which cuts off some of the funniest bits, but you get the idea.)

That could almost be my story, except for the fact that, well, even when he's crashing and burning he's a better skier than I am.

We've got a storm coming in tomorrow, though, and I might hit the road for Flagstaff -- think the kid would notice if I skipped out on Christmas AND her birthday to go ski?

I had not seen that before.

Why not take the kid with?

Good, steady snow all day.

Here's something I just discovered a few minutes ago that it took me way too long to figure out: when welding in the cold, that growing puddle on the shield inside your helmet is there because your nose is running.

Hold the arc further away from your helmet and the puddle will harden up.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

All the days run together.

EverNing all!

All my running around is done.   [thumbsup]

Now trying to decide what to have for a drink.   :-\

Choices are Gin and tonic, Blanton's Bourbon, Tuthilltown's Manhattan Whiskey or a couple different beers.
