They've added some 'bio' products (read ethanol) that cause the same issues as in gasoline ie water. The fuel doesn't congeal...it freezes in the line.

I have no fhe with oil burners.

Insulate the line?

Yeah...

The repair guy put some  Diesel 911 in the tank after he blew the clog into the tank. If I could get to the line I would insulate it where it runs under the ell. I'll just start adding the stuff as routine maintenance in the fall.

It was time for a service anyway, and he's a friend, so he bumped me to the head of the list and didn't make it an emergency call even though I called him at 6 am.
