Ning, no holiday for either of us. On my way to SFO, spending the week in Bethesda.

What's up in Bethesda? My old stomping grounds!

Have fun in Maryland! I was wracking my brain for restaurant recommendations, but things change over there fast enough (and my memory fades even faster) that it'd be pointless. I spent a lot of time at RiRa, an Irish pub there that's a chain but manages to not feel like one, but that was mainly for the  [drink] so that's out. OTOH, it's hard to get a bad meal there, and most restaurants have veggie dishes on the menu that are often attractive enough to entice omnivores.

If you do want to get out just a little bit & someone is picking up the expense account, you should try a run down to the Old Angler's Inn in Potomac -- it's one of the DC area's most famous dining experiences, and if you squint down through the woods on your way back into town on MacArthur Blvd, you can see my old house, the last of the little one-bedroom ramshackle shacks in Potomac, surrounded by woods, water, wildlife & multi-million $ mini-mansions.

Have fun!

Now I need to motivate myself to be productive................and it's raining (for the next four days).

Heavy rain just started here, mixed with huge wet snowflakes, and it'll be doing that for the next week. I'm disappointed that means canceling the MLK Day work in the woods (it's an active floodplain, so not a smart spot to hang out in the middle of a downpour) but we really, really need the precipitation here, so let it pour!  And snow.

Rain?  In Sunny San Diego?!!!  Is this a sign of Apocalypse?!!!

Blue Sky here!  [cheeky]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Are these storm systems supposed to head up through you in Colorado, or track out East? It looks like a big'un.

Already snowing in Durango/Telluride area.  Chance of rain later in the week here in the Denver Metro area.

We could use the snow.  Snowpack is only at 75%.

And with that, I am out of here.

Making a Bison pot roast for dinner, and heading up to meet Stella for lunch.

Have a great one!

Hey thanks for the local recommendations! [thumbsup]  Not sure we'll really have any free time on this trip (I'll be there with a couple of colleagues).  I meant to post up on CAM too but then I thought it might be kind of lame to say I'm visiting, but have no free time to meet up with anyone. :-\

If we do manage to sneak out of work at some point we'll check things out, thanks.
