You ok? ??? :-\

it's just more stuff for my back. they transfered me to the sports med guys and this dr. wants to take a look, he says everything we've done would have worked if it were just muscle. mri is sunday to see if/which disc is causing trouble.

also, what I thought was the pain meds not working as well may very well be from me trying to do too much and just increasing irritation.

looks like I'm going to be talking to my union steward today re:what the bosses thinks "light duty" means.

and (((HUGS))) for travis.  manly hugs, of course!

Hi all.

Hope they can heal up your back quick, Teddy.   [thumbsup]

B had a disc surgery a few years back, it really helped.

Travis, has anyone been declared a medical proxy for your dad?  If not, you might want to look into it.

+2.  Very important to get this done ASAP, if it isn't already.

+3 man.  My Dad went in '05.  PM me if you have any questions that aren't being answered.

Oh, one more thing:  Change the locks on your Dad's Apt.  Do it.  For him.  Take control of the situation and make sure that ONLY people who have his best interest in mind are allowed into your circle of trust.  Family or not....

Stay tough Travis...someone has to be that guy in this situation.

Sorry Knight about your situation.

Family and medical decisions often get nasty.

My Dad, brother, and two sisters had some inter fighting on what to do with their 96yr old Dad when he got yet another infection.

My Mom was at our house when the conversation was occuring (note: she pretty much was the only person to care for him since his wife passed away. She was closest, had the most time, so took care of paying his bills, etc).

She voiced her opinion and got reemed by a sister.

Long story short, the right decision was made and my Grandfather passed to the next world via the greatest organization out there, Hospice Care.

I hope your situation isn't as serious.

You may remember that I am job hunting.  I have applied for a few with little result.
I am now going to try and get a part time job to augment my current almost part time job.  Wish me luck.  Working 7 days a week will suck, but is necessary.

Good luck, LMT!  What field(s) are you looking in?

I'm feeling awfully raw today; we came through the high water just fine, as the creek near our house crested at about 10:30. Houses five or six doors down from us in three different directions suffered notable damage, but all of them appear to be on their foundations & looking at cleanup rather than more extensive repair/replacement.

But as I was getting ready to head out with a skiing friend to go look for snow in the high country, a paddling buddy called to tell me that a family I know second-hand had lost their six year old son last night trying to cross a tributary of the Agua Fria river, while they were desperately trying to get him to the hospital. This morning, authorities were looking for winter-geared, swiftwater rescue trained paddlers to assist with the search for his body. I got my gear together, but with the weather deteriorating, roads getting worse, & a good crew of sheriffs & firefighters on the scene, it looks like we're not going to be called on. The only thing that feels even remotely appropriate right now is to hug Ann-Marie & Mia every chance I get & tell them I love them.

Busy day, made it to my flight with not that much time to spare. Waiting to take off in a few minutes.

Anyone around??

Had a good day off running around visiting two of B's brothers that recently purchased homes.

Kicked some tires in the local Triumph and Aprillia dealer.  Sat on an Sprint ST, a bit high, but not as wide as I expected.   [moto]
