Evening drive by here...

The low spoke wheels are primarily to reduce wind resistance (well, that and to better market low spoke-count wheelsets...). It doesn't seem like much, but remember that at the top of the wheel's rotation (and when the spokes are dead flush to the wind, especially on the front wheel), they're cutting through the air twice as fast as you are.  :o  Bladed spokes are the same idea.

I played at building a TT bike three or four times back when I was racing, but I soon realized that my brain was my biggest impediment to time trial success. I was pretty good at cyclocross, so sustained high aerobic output with some anaerobic bits thrown in wasn't the issue. It's just that at those moments in a TT when it was just me, the bike, and a big empty stretch of road, I could always find a good way to rationalize saving just a little bit for later. And then a little bit more just for good measure.

The best TT rider I knew told me that instead you should constantly ask yourself "Can I go faster right now?" Then, no matter what the answer, he would go faster.

Yeah, I used to conserve too much on the swim, then on the bike, but then never pace myself on the run.  [roll]  I'd just go all out and usually bonk close to the finish.  [bang]

A friend of mine's brother is a tri coach. He gave me a few pointers, straightened me out, and I got a little more efficient.  I injured myself, took the last two years off, but now I'm back and ready to get down to business.  [thumbsup]  [bacon]

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

More Ning, Every Body.

So good to be home.

What did I miss in the last 27 pages?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I dunno Bick.  Probably 2/3rds of that is 'Ning' related posts.

Glad your back.  Wazzup?

Good Morning  [coffee]

My second day off and my chore list is looonngggggg.

Laundry first, then cleaning, then shopping.  We are having a guest over for dinner.  I am thinking pork roast.
