Hey, Sunshine.  I only ask because it has been/is a problem in other parks in our fair City (czaja and I both live in Seattle).
I realize that.

I figured you'd see the humor though.   :-\

From what I hear it's a problem nationwide in cities of epidemic proportions.

I'm hoping I'm wrong.  ;)

[laugh]  Seattle is a great place to be homeless, from what I hear.  Lots of great places to sleep, the cops don't hassle you, gullible citizens will give you money, and the weather is fairly decent.

Not surprising.  They have raided a few tent encampments lately; you can see them right off the freeway, in a few locations.  The other popular thing to do is live on the street, in your van, camper, etc.  This is legal for three days, then you have to move (i.e., drive around the block to a new spot).  It's bullshit.

Many homeless people/drug addicts in the park?
The SAM park has 24 hour security.  It has cleaned up the connecting parks.  When we first moved in, there were tents in the Elliot Bay park.  Not any more.  It gets regular  [Leo] sweeps.

Homeless individuals are all around Seattle.  I walk from Western and Vine to the Pike Market and go up one block or down one block, but down Western because of the drug dealing.
