A little of both on the crazy and abused side.  She never saw a vet and was made to stay out in the yard all day.  She never walked on leash or had any training.  She barked and ran back and forth from what the shelter said.

The starting dose was .5 mg every 12 hours.  Now it is .25 mg every 12 hours.  Not much help though.  I am ready to take her back to the shelter.  They open at noon.

I feel your pain Mary, as Darmah has turned into quite a handful.  I had been working on training her quite a bit last year, but my ex wife threw her out in the back yard unattended as soon as I deployed.  So there she was, out there with no interaction for six months.  Been trying to work with her since I have been back, but it is really trying my patience.  Now couple in the fact that I am about to move to DC...  Well, you probably see where this is going.   :-\

LMT

Our vet has found her a new home.  She moves on Thursday.  I had a meltdown today.  L. is in bed crying, but saying it is for the best.

I have a stomach ache all the time now from the stress.  My boss even told me that I looked like shit.  She never uses language like that.

Good luck.  Val came a long way with the training, but not far enough.
