So does a 944 kit really add that much?

I figure if I have to replace parts I might as well use bigger ones :D

Bruce used to claim that the 944 was a more efficient displacement for the head design. He was talking about the big valve heads.

I've only ridden one 944 in an SS with flatslides. It was nice.

I've read , maybe from Brad Black, that the biggest part of the gain is from the higher compression rather than the displacement.  Could be just wishful thinking on my part   ;D
