The only ones I've seen all weather-tite were on an LED light assembly.  Other than that, it's exposed copper.

I may have a spare stock brake lamp switch if you need it for the rear...

Also, there's a fuse that controls the stop lamps and the horn I believe...check that too.

Any word on that V. head noise?

Maybe the result will be something more akin to this:

i suppose i could ghetto rig something to keep some of the water out.
i didn't even think of the fuse because the actual taillight part works. I'll check that tonight.
i def need the rear switch. the rear brakes haven't lit the brake light in over 5 yrs. and the inspection was out about a year and a half before that.  [leo]

i know where it is, i just don't know what it is yet. it's almost like really loud fin ring.
it's actually the inital "engine" noise that you hear in the video. i thought the valves might be getting smacked, but they seem to move just fine.

i won't have time to take off the head until this weekend at the earliest. i just wish i could do it without having to take the airbox off. i hate removing that thing. might be a good reason to switch to pods though.  :)

how are the pods with riding in the rain?

Invest in a snake light.  Mine has a bright LED on the end of a 8" flexible shaft.  I use it to remove the plug and look inside the barrel.  Could provide a quicker insight.

PM me your address and I'll quote you on shipping that switch out to you.  It's right next to me on the bench right now...
