To hell with that Opus One I have been saving...

Found a new wine!

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

time to go search out some wood pellets

Sounds like a pain.

I just need to find the nearest tree  ;)
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

We always invite them in, they never look quite comfortable with our decor. Looking about quite nervously.

I invite them in then try to see how long I can keep them in the house.

Yup...

and then cut it...

split it...

and wait for 6-12 months for it to dry.

Then you lug it in to the house and tend the stove to burn it...constantly fiddling and filling...

afterwards you get to lug ~30% back out side as ash...

all the while P is trying like hell to keep the house clean.

I go to the store...

pay $5 for a bag and pour it in the stove.

24 hours later I do it again.

After about 10 bags I shut it off and clean it out a little...

because there's only 1% ash...

but you're the engineer...

and waaaaay smarter than a painter.

Undoubtedly I'm doing it wrong.

it's hot as shit out today. I might go to the pool this afternoon. Missed the convoy to the beach. An ice cold beer and better "scenery" would almost make the heat pallatable.

Mmmm...  I remember going to the beach a couple of times when I was down in Nigeria.  The scenery there was...  Very very nice.
